TI Collegiate provides a solid foundation for you to achieve success both academically and personally.     Principal

    Helen Gao is the Principal of Toronto International Collegiate. With extensive experience in international education, Helen is dedicated to providing personalized support and guidance to students and families. Her commitment to excellence in education ensures that every student receives the care and attention needed to succeed in their academic journey.

  • John Blair

    Guidance Counsellor

    John Blair BA, B.Ed., M.Ed., Specialist Sp. Ed., O.C.T, John Blair has more than 30 year experience as a principal and educator in Ontario, Canada. He has taught in the public and private high school systems in the Toronto area. Due to his success, as a principal, in various international private high schools, John has acquired significant knowledge in the unique needs and problems facing international applicants to the Canadian education system.

  • Ms. Wei

    Executive Principal

    Ivy Wei: Master of Educational Administration. In China, the United States, and Canada, she has been engaged in teaching and education management for more than 30 years. Since 2012, she has been working in the International Department of York Region District School Board , Ontario. She has experienced with the North American education system, laws and regulations, curriculum, evaluation system, and international student services, especially academic counseling for students from mainland China, and cross-cultural home-school communication. Actually she has had many achievements.

  • Mr. Hesam

    Social Sciences & English Teacher

    He was previously as a teacher assistant at Carleton University of Ottawa, English conversational courses in JIAS, and CISS in Toronto, Canada. At the undergraduate level, he has taught Major courses in English and TEFL in various public and private educational centers in Iran. He taught English as a foreign language (EFL) for 15 years and was an instructor, materials developer, and language curriculum designer in a wide variety of language teaching contexts in Canada.

  • Milad Safaei

    Math and Science Teacher

    Milad Safaei is an experienced high school Math and Science teacher. He has Bachelor degrees in Biology and Psychology from York University. He also teaches ESL and SSAT prep courses.

  • Monica Martinik

    ESL Teacher

    Monica Martinik is a member of TESL Ontario, with additional CELTA and TESOL certification. She is experienced in teaching ESL to both adults and children.

Alumni, University of Toronto

Congratulations to Yike on receiving her first University of Toronto offer! Her success is a testament to two years of dedication and growth. Beginning in July 2022, Yike discovered her potential through volunteer work, from video editing to campus tours at U of T Scarborough. In August 2023, she asked a pivotal question: "What grades do I need to get in?" This sparked her journey. Through university fairs and school events, she gained confidence, learned about admissions, and discovered how to align her artistic talents with her academic ambitions. At the U of T 197th anniversary in June 2024, inspired by alumni success stories, she declared: "I want to attend this school." Today, she's made it happen!

Bert joined our school in 2023 with a strong English foundation from years of Canadian education since elementary school. His passion for business shines through in every related course he takes. With a focused academic plan centered on Grade 12 advanced functions and English—meeting requirements for his top university choices—he also explored his interests in international business, leadership, and food nutrition.
